The mysterious unidentified objects shot down by U.S. fighter jets recently have left the intelligence community scratching their heads about their origin. Although initially believed to be related to China’s spy balloon program, White House National Security Spokesperson John Kirby stated on Tuesday that there is no indication that this is the case.
Kirby noted that the three objects are in hard-to-reach areas, two in the frozen north and one in Lake Huron, which is making the recovery of the debris difficult. He also confirmed that the fighter jet that shot down the object over Lake Huron missed with an initial missile and it landed in the lake.
