Republican Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson is raising the alarm bells that the Biden administration is attempting to cover up President Biden’s deteriorating mental health.
The former White House physician has called for an end to the \”cover-up\” of the president’s health after his recent physical exam declared him \”fit to serve as commander in chief.\” Jackson says the majority of Americans can see Biden’s mental health is in decline, yet there is no transparency from the White House on what, if anything, is being done to address this issue.
Jackson also pointed out that the report from Biden’s physical made no mention of the president undergoing a cognitive test. He had previously sent three letters to the White House demanding that Biden receive a cognitive test and that the results be made public, all of which were ignored.
The criticism of Biden’s mental health is not new for Jackson. The former White House physician to both Obama and Trump faced criticism from Obama for his critique of Biden’s cognitive health on the 2020 campaign trail. In his 2022 memoir, Jackson detailed a stern and \”scathing\” email he received from Obama about comments he had made on Twitter about then-presidential candidate Biden’s mental state.
However, White House physician Kevin O’Connor, a retired Army colonel who has served in the role since January 2021, wrote in a memo released Thursday that Biden \”remains a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency.\” O’Connor noted that the main medical event for Biden in the past year was his upper respiratory infection from COVID-19 last summer.
Despite the White House physician’s report, Jackson is still calling for an end to the \”cover-up\” and for the Biden administration to be transparent about the president’s health. Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley also weighed in on the issue, suggesting that politicians over the age of 75 should have to take a mental cognitive test before assuming office.
Only time will tell if the Biden administration will heed Jackson’s demands for transparency and take action to address the president’s mental health.
