Veteran director K Vishwanath was 92. Now another bad news is coming out from South Cinema itself. National Award winning veteran singer Vani Jayaram is no more with us. Vani Jayaram was announced to be honored with the country’s third highest civilian award. Vani Jayaram passed away at her home in Chennai. She was 78 years old. According to media reports, there were injuries on his forehead.

Vani Jairam gave her voice for 50 decades
According to media reports, singer Vani Jayaram had recently completed 50 decades in the film industry. He got around 10,000 songs recorded. He worked with composers like RD Burman, KV Mahadevan, OP Nayyar and Madan Mohan. His song ‘Mere to Girdhar Gopal’ sung for the film Meera in the year 1979 became the most talked about. Singer Filmfare’s Best Singer Award was also received for this song.
